The Board

The President is the primary leader of the OCEANS Network and brings forward the mission and vision of the Network. He has the responsibility to ensure the overall performance and regular operation of the Board Structure, both internally and towards external organizations and partners.

Uswa completed her BA and MA from University of Muhamadiyah Malang and University of Brawijaya with major in Management. She did master exchange under Erasmus Program at Masaryk University, Czech Republic in 2015-2016. During her exchange student, she did some volunteer activities in Kindergarten and High School in Brno. In addition, she participated in country presentation competition and won 2nd place.

Currently, Uswa is working in International NGO related to Children and Humanitarian. Prior working in NGO, she had work experience in multinational company and education sector. She loves cat, arts, culture, photography and networking.

Our network is doing great things and providing amazing opportunities, but all of these need to be communicated internally, to our members, and externally to the outside world. Exchange of information is key to enable our members to access our services, events, and opportunities. Packaging catchy and informative pieces of information on social media and articles to be published online is essential for advancing the prestige of the network and for giving chance to new people to get to know about us and what we do.

Those team members are passionate about creating engaging posts to promote OCEANS internationally. Thereby significantly contributing to an increased outreach and the network´s visibility on our social media channels.

I am an English teacher and lecturer from Indonesia, awarded with the International Education Summit & Award (IESA) as the best teacher who contributes to education in 2020 and with a focus on Education TESOL at University of Wollongong, Australia. I did my Erasmus Mundus in 2013 in Cagliari University under the “Mover” Program. Since then, I focus on social activities such as conducting free trainings and workshops Furthermore, I am interested in capacity building in education, improving quality and building capacities. Similarly, OCEANS as international organization should transform its strategy in order to engage OCEANS members to be more active and valuable.

Educational background: holding Bacherlor degree in Economics from Vilnius University (Lithuania) and Masters degree in Financial economics from Erasmus University Rotterdam (the Netherlands). During Bachelor studies completed an exchange semester in Kyungpook National University ( Daegu, South Korea). Completed CIMA ( Chartered Institute of Management Accountant) professional accreditation.

Professional background: 7+ years experience across finance functional finance, finance operations and business facing finance roles in a top quartile energy, oil and gas company. Worked across Netherlands, Poland and India and led global initiatives. As a leader, passionate about inspiring people and building high performing teams. Demonstrated ability in working effectively in different cultural environments, managing complex stakeholders and delivering under pressure. Possessing a " can do" attitude and commitment to develop a structured set of solutions to overcome business challenges and deliver value.

Personal interests: Community development projects, cycling, mountain trekking, backpacking, wine & dine with friends, discovering new cultures and places.
