OCEANS NETWORK Workshop Online: Developing Effective Use for Successful Electronic Software Presentations
In November 2023, a two-day workshop was led training 23 participants. They covered presentation skills, software exploration, and offered tips for academic presentations tailored to individual fields, ending with a Q&A session and anticipation for future workshops.
The workshop was organised for two days on the 24th and the 26th of November 2023 by the head of the Community Development team Ilhem BENDAHMANE and the Vice President of Oceans Phillip SESSOU, in which Professor Rasha SOLIMAN was the trainer of the two sessions. The webinar hosted 23 participants from different organisations, both diverse nationalities & career backgrounds.
The workshop accumulated in training the participants how to deliver a successful presentation, and they had the opportunity to learn which appropriate software would be suitable for them. They also went through the functionality of different free software available nowadays including platforms such as Prezi, Gamma, and so many others. As a conclusion, the trainer offered tips for formatting academic presentations whereby each participant learned how to select the tools according to their field of work or study.
The participants had the chance to interact with each other and with the hosts of the webinar through a Q&A session.
