The OCEANS Network is excited to announce two upcoming events in Hanoi, Viet Nam: a Capacity Building Training and a Local Outreach Event, taking place on 2 and 3 May 2025. These events aim to strengthen the skills of OCEANS members in Asia while promoting Erasmus+ international mobility opportunities.

Capacity Building Training: Empowering OCEANS Members – Skills for Communicating and Advocating Erasmus+ Opportunities

Date: May 2, 2025
Location: Hanoi, Viet Nam
Participants: Up to 20 OCEANS members

This training session, organised by the OCEANS Network, aims to equip members with essential communication and advocacy skills to become effective Erasmus+ ambassadors. It will focus on enhancing participants' ability to:

• Share their personal Erasmus+ experiences in impactful ways.

• Inspire potential applicants and advocate for equal access to international mobility.

• Develop skills in storytelling, active listening, and advocacy to foster inclusivity and support youth engagement in educational exchange programmes.

The training will be tailored to meet the specific needs of OCEANS members, ensuring that the skills gained are directly applicable to future activities within the network.

Local Event: Inclusive Paths to International Mobility – Sharing and Inspiring through Erasmus+ Experiences

Date: May 3, 2025
Location: Hanoi National University of Education (HNUE), Hanoi, Viet Nam
Participants: Open to local participants in Viet Nam and OCEANS members

This outreach event, organised in collaboration with Hanoi National University of Education, with aims to promote access to international mobility opportunities for Vietnamese students.

Through interactive sessions, participants will:

• Gain detailed information about the Erasmus+ programme.

• Hear personal stories and experiences from OCEANS members.

• Receive practical guidance on navigating international mobility pathways.

• Engage in dialogues that inspire and empower students to overcome mobility barriers.

As part of this event, OCEANS members who completed the capacity-building training will have the opportunity to put their new skills into practice by engaging directly with local students.

Who Should Apply?

This call is primarily for OCEANS members based in Asia, as the majority of selected participants will be from the region. Limited seats will be available for members outside Asia. We encourage applications from active OCEANS members or those eager to engage, particularly those who:

• Are committed to promoting international mobility and Erasmus+ opportunities.

• Have experience in educational outreach, advocacy, or student engagement.

• Are willing to use their communication skills to support students interested in mobility programs.
