OCEANS Annual Conference & General Meeting in Stockholm – Applications Now Open!
The OCEANS Network is thrilled to announce that the Annual Conference (AC) and Annual General Meeting (AGM) 2025 will take place on June 20 & 21, 2025, in Stockholm, Sweden. This highly anticipated gathering will bring together students, alumni, university representatives, and stakeholders to discuss key topics related to international student mobility and the future of global education.
A Unique Opportunity for OCEANS Members
The Annual Conference, scheduled for June 20, will welcome 30 participants and serve as a platform for in-depth discussions on international student mobility programmes, challenges in global education, and new strategic initiatives. Attendees will have the chance to engage in insightful conversations and network with fellow OCEANS members and professionals from across Europe.
Following the conference, the Annual General Meeting will take place on June 21, bringing together 50 participants to discuss the Network’s development, exchange experiences, and contribute to shaping its future direction.

- International student mobility programmes
- Addressing challenges faced in global education
- Exploring future initiatives and strategic planning
- Fostering cultural exchange and networking opportunities within OCEANS

Who Should Apply?
We invite all active OCEANS Network members passionate about international education and engaged in their respective fields to apply. We also encourage new OCEANS members eager to connect with peers and contribute to discussions. This is an excellent opportunity to shape the future of the OCEANS Network while building valuable relationships.
Application & Participation Details
- Application Period: February 19 – February 25, 2025
- Notification of Acceptance: Late February – Early March
- Application Form: Available on the OCEANS Online Community Portal
Please note that a selection process will be in place, and submission of an application does not guarantee participation. Selected participants will need to confirm attendance by registering within the deadline provided. Due to GDPR regulations, the names of selected participants will not be made public.
Logistics: Costs, Visa, Travel, and Accommodation
- Costs Covered: The EU will cover all expenses, including travel, accommodation, and meals.
- Accommodation: Arranged for selected participants in twin rooms (two people per room) for the nights required to attend the event.
- Travel: The Erasmus+ Support Service Team will handle air travel bookings in consultation with participants. If feasible, participants are encouraged to travel by bus or carpool. Private car travel will be reimbursed at 0.28 EUR/km upon submission of a reimbursement form and trip itinerary.
- Visa Support: A visa invitation letter and assistance will be provided for participants requiring a Schengen visa. The EU will cover visa processing fees and travel expenses to the Swedish Embassy.
